How to log a damage claim
When a customer reports vehicle damage, open a new damage claim in WashWerk and work through the guided wizard. The claim auto-saves as you go, so you can pause and resume at any time.
Before you start
- You must have the Create Damage Claims permission for your store.
- Have the customer's contact information ready (name, phone or email).
Steps
From the sidebar, open My Damage Claims.

Click + New Claim in the top-right. WashWerk opens a new claim (e.g. DC-2026-00027) with a multi-section wizard.

Work through each section in the left-side list — Vehicle, Customer, What happened, The damage, Insurance, Payment, and Signature. For Vehicle, you can scan the VIN, type it manually, or select "No VIN". The claim saves automatically as you progress.
Before submitting, ensure all required items are complete: customer name, phone or email, customer statement, vehicle make/model/year, 8 required photos, payment method, and a signature.
Click Submit report to file the claim. It is now visible to your team and can be tracked through to resolution.
