Why password sign-in is blocked (single sign-on required)
If your organization requires single sign-on (SSO), WashWerk won't accept a password for your email and shows Your organization requires single sign-on. Please sign in with SSO. This guide explains why, and the one exception for Owners.
Before you start
- Where: Sign-in screen — this happens before you reach any store or company.
- Permission: No special permission needed. The password exception is limited to company Owners.
- You must have: An email address on a domain your company has verified for SSO.
Why your password is refused
When your company turns on SSO and makes it required, everyone with a company email must sign in through your organization's sign-on service instead of a password. This requirement applies no matter which device or screen you use, so there's no way around it. This is intentional, not a problem with your password.
Sign in with SSO
- On the sign-in screen, enter your work email and select Continue. WashWerk recognizes that your email uses SSO.
- Select Continue with your organization. WashWerk sends you to your organization's sign-on service to sign in.

Owners can still use a password
Company Owners are allowed to sign in with a password so they can always get back in — for example if the sign-on service itself is down.
- On the sign-in screen, enter your Owner email and select Continue.
- Below the SSO button, enter your password in the or sign in with a password field and select Sign In. WashWerk signs you in.
Expected result
Non-owners reach their dashboard after signing in through their organization's sign-on service. Owners can reach their dashboard either that way or with a password.
Troubleshooting
- If you are not an Owner and password sign-in keeps failing: this is expected when your organization requires SSO. Use Continue with your organization instead.
- If sign-on itself fails for an Owner: sign in with your password instead, then have an admin check the SSO settings in Set up single sign-on (SSO).
- If your email isn't recognized for single sign-on: confirm you used your work email. SSO only applies to email domains your company has verified.
